The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is looking for a tenacious communicator with exceptional writing skills, media experience, digital savvy, and a passion for public service. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve as the communications lead for the region’s only full-service law enforcement agency as we drive unprecedented innovation in public safety.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience preparing and disseminating information through social media platforms, radio, television, newspapers or other publications AND a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in communications, marketing, political science, public administration, public relations, inter-governmental communications, journalism, television, telecommunications or a closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
