The National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) is going back to school – that’s the 2022 Communications School held May 10-12 in Louisville, Kentucky! We’ve got three days of learning and networking and other great activities to make this an event you can’t miss.
If you haven’t heard, we have some great sessions lined up! For example, how do you do your job when the world is watching? NAGC has landed Cobb County, Georgia, District Attorney Flynn D. Broady Jr. and Executive Assistant District Attorney Latonia P. Hines, to share their experiences of handling media attention and public scrutiny in the limelight. All eyes were on the Cobb County District Attorney’s office when it prosecuted three men who were ultimately convicted of killing Ahmaud Arbery during a racially-motivated hate crime. There are lessons to be learned for all of us – and this is a session you can’t miss.
We’ve also got industry professionals and government colleagues who will showcase their talents with podcasting, video, data maturity and disinformation, communicating to diverse audiences and multicultural communities, engaging the public, and many more. Take a peek at the schedule of events here and find out more about the lineup of speakers!
During Communications School, we’ll also be honoring our colleagues for the best in government communications during the prestigious Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards. Find out who’s taking home bragging rights in more than three dozen categories!
So, what else is on tap? We can’t head to Louisville without sampling some bourbon! NAGC will be hosting a private bourbon sampling on May 12 to close out Communications School.
And, as always, there’s plenty of time to network with each other and our sponsors and exhibitors. After a particularly hard two years, we all have lessons to share with each other.
Finally, we’re proud to be working with PIOToolkit as our media partner because it means we can share more resources and learning opportunities with you before, during, and after Communications School.
Don’t be too cool for school. Register today, reserve your hotel room by April 29 for a discounted rate and follow us on social media using #NAGCBacktoSchool and #NAGC45.
